I'm not sure about Cars, but there were a few that their absence surprised me. I was just linking the list though-- no intent to offend your animated sensibilities.
I have really wanted to see Children of Men...

I found Blood Diamond to be particularly insightful and a fascinating commentary on the love of a father.
