Looks like folks were bored while I was on vacation...
1. One book that changed your life: John Piper, Desiring God
2. One book that you've read more than once: Richard Baxter, Reformed Pastor
3. One book you'd want on a desert island: Augustine, Confessions
4. One book that made you laugh: John Kennedy Toole, A Confederacy of Dunces (have read it more than a half dozen times and I laugh out loud the entire way through. My favorite novel of all times.)
5. One book that made you cry: Sarah Williams, The Shaming of the the Strong (the most moving book I recall reading in years)
6. One book you wish had been written: Essential Reading For Church Planters Under Forty (2 Vol)
Vol 1: "Masculinity" Defined
Vol 2: What it Means to Say that Jesus' behavior was "Prophetic"
7. One book you wish had never been written: Hal Lindsey, The Late Great Planet Earth
8. One book you're currently reading: David Wells, Above All Earthly Pow'rs
9. One book you've been meaning to read: Larry Hurtado, Lord Jesus Christ: Devotion to Jesus in Earliest Christianity
I'd agree with you on Hal Lindsey, accept it began my habit of reading the newspaper when I was in 5th grade so I could try and predict the end of the world!

I know what you're saying-- one of my best friend's dad became a Christian after reading it.
