For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, I'm in the crunch time of the semester and my schedule is ridiculous. I'm working on two major projects that are due in the next two weeks, and I'm trying to get things ready for my Kansas trip next weekend. After that, my life should be in a bit better place-- even though the semester isn't over until mid December.
Additionally, I have been working to completely change my thesis topic...which has been a load of work that I didn't plan on having to deal with. My first draft thesis proposal is due Dec. 16-- but I'm not even thinking about it yet. I'll post a bit on what I'm actually attempting to do once I get the other projects out of my way.
All of that is simply to offer my apologies for things getting quite dusty and lame around here. I haven't wanted to shut things down entirely-- as I actually have a ton of things in my journal I want to write about-- but I also haven't wanted to post pointless stuff just to keep the date current. Hopefully, I can sit down and post a few of the things I really want to-- but I'm not making any promises ... Oddly, the stats have continued to rise over the past few weeks, so I thought I should offer some things to do while this blog is in the doldrums...
1. Check out Kate's pictures (the girl has skills)
2. Check out the whatsinyourbag photo pool @ flickr. This is very geeky-- but provides a good way to pass the time when you should be working.
3. For those of you who have never mined monergism or the ntwright page, spend some time there; or Mark Goodacre's NTGateway Blog is a great place; and Justin has gotten me hooked on Dr. Haykin's blog.
4. Merlin has a new look and a podcast @ 43Folders. I LOVE this site (though Katie gives me really odd looks when I say "life hacks").
don't sweat it my larger brother. i am at least two weeks behind on your blog. I think now would be a grand time for us to scour ur blog and start sorting thru the archives and putting together a "Best of Cawley" poll.
Who's in?

Kevin,
Could you take a look in the mirror and tell me at which stage you are at in writing your paper. If I remember correctly, the closer you get to the day a paper is due the more you look like a troll doll. This fact makes me smile.

Mike-- I haven't shaved in a few days and I'm looking a big haggard. My hair is shorter now though, so the troll effect is a bit less. I'll post some middle of the night pics before I turn them in...
