I just downloaded my 30-day trial copy of Third Street Software's :: Sente
From the website:
Stay current with Sente Imagine having the citation and abstract for every paper in each of your current research areas, organized in an iTunes-like interface for rapid access, and updated automatically every day -- all on your own computer. Sente can do this for you.
Sente makes it easy to research new areas by providing an intuitive interface for complex searches of a variety of data sources. Instead of the search results disappearing when you close your web browser, Sente stores the results on your computer for as long as you need them. And, exploring these references is easier than it has ever been before, thanks to Sente's advanced browsing and filtering features.
Currently, I use iTunes to organize all the articles I have in pdf format. I'm anxious to see if this software is able to do what it claims. If so, the $50 student license seems well worth it (as does the $100 standard).
If anyone has experience with this software, I would love to hear your reactions.
How has this software working out so far for you? I haven't tried it yet.
